Student Life
The sense of coummunity at Town School is evident in all aspects of the school's life. Our students enjoy a nuturing and supportive atmosphere through our After School Programs, which give them a safe and enriching place to be after school. In addition to after school care and enrichment classes, we have an interscholastic athletics program which is available to any Upper School boy who would like to play on a Town School team.
The importance of Community Service at Town is woven throughout the curriculum, with the highlight each spring being our Dia de Servicio, a day in which all members of our school--students, faculty and staff--leave campus to partipate in service activities in the Bay Area.
The school employs a full time counselor, a licensed educational psychologist, and a part time child psychiatrist, who provide support to teachers, parents and individual boys during their tenture at Town. The Outdoor Education program is a part of the curriculum for all Upper School students. Our Families program incorporates boys across the grade levels into "families", and we have a thriving "green initiatives" movement at the school, and even a rooftop garden! You can read about these aspects of Town School life in this section of our website.
