Library

The Town School Library is used by students and faculty for research, instruction, homework, and recreational reading, and as a community space for the entire school. All members of the Town School community including students, parents, grandparents, siblings, and other family members are welcome to borrow books, videos, and audiobooks from the library.

The Librarians teach a progressive program of skills instruction in all grades. Primary level activities are centered around literature appreciation while the middle grades concentrate on information and media literacy. Across all grade levels, the librarians draw from the 6+1 Traits model for teaching writing through literature.

For more information, contact the Town School Librarians Kim Stuart (415) 746-1127 or  Julie Alonso, (415) 746- 1122. The library is open from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM every weekday.
